God created ....in 7 days

The Bible says God created everything in 7 days.

The contention here is how long was each day? It cannot be 24hrs, as the Bible-god had to be somewhere else when he created the earth and the heavens. So we do not know till today what was the duration then. It can thus be speculated that the person who wrote the book of Genesis was earthbound and his thinking was restricted to the earthly realm.

Also, why was god limited by time when time did not exist? We know today that time only exists in our imagination. It was invented by men for convenience, and was based on the earth's revolution around the sun. The Bible-god would probably think like us, that's why they were conscious of time. The Supreme God won't be bothered about time as it does not make any difference to Him.

Finally, it is stated also that the Bible-god rested on the 7th day. Why does a god need to rest? It clearly hints to us that the Bible-god is very limited in his thinking and acts. Like us humans, he (or they?) needs to rest.
