The Dogon people live in the Homburi Mountains, near the country Timbuktu. Their religion centers on knowledge about a star that is invisible to the naked eye. It was only discovered in 1970, long after the Dogon had their religion. The Dogon say they got their knowledge from visitors to the earth from another star system. It has been confirmed that the star they talked about is the Sirius. They even had a diagram showing the orbit of the planet. Scientists took many years of research before discovering that the Dogon know more than them!!
How did they know, if not from aliens? This is a good example of how the ancient could have been amazed by the technology of aliens and hence took them as a god.
